Raise your hand if you are the kind of parent who buys kid art supplies and then obsesses over them yourself, rather than have your kids use them! My hand is raised all the way up! So this week when I, and I mean we, received a new box from Ooly, I excitedly opened it while Lexi was at school, went through all the fun colorful art supplies, smelled them, marveled at them and sealed the box back up! Am I weird?
If you know anything about our family, it’s that like most parents I am not a huge fan of sitting kids in front of a TV for entertainment. We rarely watch television (maybe just a movie on the weekends) and we limit time on the iPad or the computer unless it’s for research on a project, educational or for homeschooling. Except for when I fail and she spends 2 hours playing Minecraft because “I just can’t” ( we all have those moments). So it makes me super happy when she has new shiny, smelly, colorful art supplies to create with! And to be completely honest, sometimes I sneak into her room and draw with her, too.
We have been huge fans of Ooly for years. If you have been following me for a while, you know that I talk about them often and that’s simply because I just love their products (for both me and Lexi!). Ooly has a wide range of art supplies, including markers, gel pens, crayons, paper products, craft items, and even DIY projects. And these aren’t just your regular old markers and pens – these are super cute products with different shapes, scents, themes, and colors. They have a huge range of products including accessories like dinosaur-shaped erasers that smell like strawberries and pencil pouches or unique drawing supplies like window markers or watercolor pens.
