Back from Las Vegas

{This beautiful view is JW Marriott Las Vegas. I absolutely LOVED staying close to the mountains rather than the strip.}

So we are back from the Expo in Vegas and attempting to put our lives back in order. Luckily, my mom is now here and here’s huge help. It’s amazing what a difference having extended family around makes. Everything is just so much more relaxed and laid back, because there are plenty of people to look after Lexi while the rest get stuff done.

Vegas was fun. Fun but hectic. And difficult with an attached breastfed toddler (even with Andrew there to hang around with her). I definitely wouldn’t recommend going there with one unless they are on the mellow side.

But aside from the stress splitting up between work and Lexi at all times, it was a great trip, from both professional and personal standpoint.

We took a day to enjoy Las Vegas in the less conventional sense of things. I’ll see if I can put together a little post chronicling our days there. And you can definitely expect a post or two about my favorite products personally.

We’ll have lots of stuff coming out in the next few weeks. So exciting!

{ on a side note, I really want to get back into real photography. Not just me photographing Lexi all the time. But landscapes, details, self-portraits, etc. It’s just so challenging to do while looking after the energizer bunny.}

    We’re living the same life right now! I just came back from a work convention with my 20 month old, and I found the balance to be really hard. On the one hand, I wanted to connect with the other people at the convention, since that’s the main reason I was there, but on the other hand all I wanted to do was hang out with my adorable toddler. Thank goodness she loves books and can flip through them for a good bit, and thank goodness she seemed to really enjoy talking to the attendees. Still it was sometimes hard not being able to do all of the stuff that the childless folks were able to do. I would have missed not nursing her to sleep, though. 🙂
