If you care about your childrens’ health and your own health, I urge you to take the time to listen to this lecture from University of California.
It talks about the effects of sugar on our bodies backed up by research and it is eye opening. It is important that we act before it’s too late, especially for our children.
It explains why diet and exercise might not be working for you the way you think it should and why we now have toddlers who are obese, as well as what is happening in our bodies without us being aware of it.
Just turn this video on in the background and listen, if you don’t have the time. Within a few minutes, you won’t be able to tear yourself away.
And after you’re done, you will wash every sugary product in your house down the drain.
I might be ok damaging my own body and health with an occasional cake, but I definitely won’t do it to my daughter. We are all addicted ( including myself) and it needs to stop.
Wow. Thank you for sharing this. This is incredibly significant and important.
Thank you so much for sharing. I have long known the dangers of sugar and how “big food” blinded society and adulterated our food but nonetheless needed this reminder especially at the start of this new year! I will keep this in mind when making food choices for me and my little one. If you have any post about preschool nutrition would you mind pointing me to them?
That’s great to hear! It’s a great reminder!
Here are some of our toddler food posts. I am not sure if it would help. We still eat similarly but just in larger portions.
