“I’ll marry someone who knows how to cook”

Thoughts inside a 5 year old’s head:

Me: I’m making crab salad.
Lexi: I’ve had that before!
Me: Yes it’s a Russian salad. Babulya made it before.
Lexi: How did you learn to make it?
Me: She taught me when I was little. We had it a lot. You should probably learn too.

So I start explaining to her how to make it.
Lexi: But I don’t know how to cook all those things.
Me: That’s why you need to learn. Cuz otherwise how are you going to cook?
Lexi: I won’t. Daddy will cook.
Me: Your daddy?
Lexi: No the daddy I’m going to Marry. And I’ll just make things you don’t have to cook

I almost high fived her it was so funny. Right on! Marry a guy who will cook for you. Haha

Then I explained to her how she needs to know how to cook for herself and if she ever has kids, for them. Rather than rely on another person to do something, she needs to do how to do everything.
