Remember our first Pumpkin Patch trip? It was funny, and pretty cool, and not what I expected. We go plenty of fun pictures of Lexi but not the greatest family pictures. I meant to reshoot, but life intervenes.
Fast foward to this year. Guess what? We got plenty of cute Lexi photos, but our family photos had a great church building in the background. Hahahaha!
We just can’t win!
At least we all look cool in our sunglasses 🙂 After this I said I would come back in the morning and re-shoot the other way so that the building wasn’t ruining the shot ( because of the position of the sun we weren’t able to turn out and get well exposed photos), but you know what?
I am learning.
Learning that my overachieving selectively perfectionist self doesn’t usually get the time for a re-do, especially when you have to put make up on and dress up. So yeah I won’t be printing these and hanging on the wall, but they are a fun memory.
Oh and notice the remote in Lexi’s hand? I have figured out the only way to keep her still in the family photos! -having her be in charge of the actual picture taking.
In case you’re wondering, we set up a tripod, and triggered the shutter button with the remote.
So enjoy the photos, as I have enjoyed putting them together and I am hoping the next post will be about our Halloween costumes this year which were so much fun.
Once we are done with all this fall nonsense, I can get back to some more substantial posts. But these are very therapeutic for me to do since they involve my favorite past time, photography.

Your girl is adorable. A real model.
Lexi’s tin man & lion face was the best! So cute. Such a fun family outing.
