I’ve been reading Little Momma’s I SPY posts for a while now and finally got around to participating in one of them. It seems like “I SPY” is a fun way to take a peek at other people’s lives.
The theme this week was SHOES AND JEWELRY.
To be honest, I am not a shoe person AT ALL, neither am I a jewelry/accessory person. I love me some bling, but i never remember to wear it. Thus, my collection isn’t that great.
So what I wanted to do is jut share a few shoes and pieces that I love and/or are special to me.
So here we go:
SHOES
I have a separate shoe closet, I had the room in our house to make one, not because I love shoes. I never know what to wear “shoe-wise”, so at least having them on display helps me out a bit, rather than looking for smth in boxes or piles like I used to have many years ago when we lived in a small condo.
Converse has to be some of my favorite shoes. They comfy, colorful and cool looking! I still want a few more pairs ( pink, orange, white, maybe denim blue).
I’m alos a fan of gladiators. Being a tall girl that I am (5’11”), it’s sort of hard to find really cute shoes that don’t have a 5″ heel. I wear those too, but I don’t need it everyday. So gladiators is a super cute way to not tower over everyone.
I do love me some heels though. Luckily my hubby is 6’4″, which allows me to wear 5 inch heels without feeling like a giant next to my husband. Back in NYC during my modeling years, my model friends and I had so much putting the baddest heels on and walking around 6’5″ and all. That time really erased any kind of problems I might have had with being tall or wearing kick ass heels.
These are just miscellanoius shoes I never tend to wear 🙂 plus comfy flats.
Some more black heels. Don’t mind the dust, it’s really sand. It’s kind of hard not to get sand all over my shoes, because it gets tracked everywhere when you go to the beach.
So these are some of my favorite shoes.
The top left sandals are BCBG (my favourite brand) and I am so in love with them.
Bottom left are my Michael Kors power woman heels- I feel so badass in them! Like S&M 🙂
See, it looks like I put my BCBG sandals in this collage too ( that’s how much I love them, oops!) I love everything and anything glittery and red 🙂
And some of my flats and gladiators.
JEWELRY
Now onto jewerly. Like I said I barely wear any, but this is what I do where when I can.
My favorite set- i love the mix of rough metals and glitter!
The coral necklace is special to me, because it was a gift from Ecuador that a friend of mine gave me.
I heart HEARTS!
The red heart is a typical Swarovski heart- i fell in love with it as soon as it came out, and my husband loved the idea of giving me a heart, so he bought it for me right away!
The second heart is just as special because it comes from Italy and is a gift from my friend Elena. It’s super gorgeous up-close!
I don’t really wear these two necklaces, but they are a reminder of my trips to different islands. They are necklaces hand made by local Antiguan women out of local stones.
The funky looking earrings were a gift from a friend and I keep them because they remind me of my Russian heritage. They’re super old russian looking and I never wear them, but they’re so russian country style. I love it.
The first pieces of jewerly I ever got:
-
the diamond bracelet, a gift from my husband
-
a small pre-engagement ring that hubby sent to me when we got un-officially engaged and were in a long distance relationship for 6 month. He didn’t want to send an actual engagement ring in case it gets lost in the mail, but he wanted me to have SOMETHING that said I was HIS 🙂
-
an anniversary band that is just as special to me
More Swarovski:
a necklace my mom gave me that I treasure
and a bracelet I bought for myself to match the necklace
My first and only string of pearls ( i love black pearls) and a necklace i bought in Ecuador at a farme
Holy cow! WOW! Shoes! Speechless! I just LOVE those Michael Kors! Definitely agree with you on that one! LOL!
awwww!
I love-love-love those red gladiators with ruffles!!
I want them! 🙂
MOST amazing shoe and jewelry collection ever! Stunning–just like you!
I LOVE shoes too, and not into jewelry all that much. I wear my diamond studs, my wedding ring, and my watch daily, and that’s about it…
For not being into shoes, you sure do have a lot! Well, a lot more than me 🙂
hahaha! I know, right? The reason for that is I never know what shoes to wear with an outfit so I keep buying them in hopes that lots of options will mean one pair will be perfect 🙂
I was curious why you don’t wear your wedding ring?
A few years ago I left both my rings in a hotel room. When I realized I didn’t have it 5 minutes after check out, we went back but it was nowhere to be found. We haven’t bought new ones since then, mostly because I want this really expensive Leo band and engagement ring 🙂
As far as this post, even if i wore a ring, I would have taken them off for this post, showing off other jewelry.
