Holiday Gift Guide 2019

The time has come for you guys to learn about what it is I have been working on so hard for the last 6 months. FEBRUARY 28th!

DAILY MOM

I’ve mentioned this name in passing a few times, but I doubt many of you noticed or paid attention. However it is now a huge part of my life that I am incredibly excited about. It took a lot of work and it’s almost here and you, guys, get to be the first ones to see it. A new portal that will hopefully stand out in the sea of mommy-oriented websites. I first came upon the idea for the website when I was sick of wading through hundreds of useless posts that sucked me in and wasted my time on big corporate website ( you know the ones I am talking about, those with scandalous news and celebrity gossip).  One post that has the potential of helping me as a mom and a woman among 10 posts of useless (but admittedly entertaining content). I wondered if there was a place for a website that doesn’t try to entertain, but tries to help. I instantly thought of Pinterest and how awesome of a service that is. My next thought was “I wish there was a blog like Pinterest, where all that awesomeness was delivered to me daily in a blog format into my email or RSS feed.”

DING DING DING

(that was the lightbulb over my head) Now over a year later after the initial idea and 6 months of grueling work along with my kick ass team of moms, Daily Mom is here.

So what is Daily Mom?

This is how we define it!

Daily Mom is more than a website, it is an online magazine for women. It is a place where moms want to come and stay a while. It is like a combination of your favorite mommy blogs,  Pinterest boards,  parenting websites, how-to posts, product features and the best fashion magazines all packaged neatly into short easy to read posts with crisp, gorgeous photographs.

At Daily Mom, we will take the guesswork out of life for you. Daily Mom will be your one-stop-shop for information relative to YOU. At Daily Mom, a world of knowledge will be opened up to you, right at your fingertips. We know you don’t have time to read long, boring posts, search through hundreds of product reviews or research everything life throws your way. So, we will do that for you!  Daily Mom will provide you with short, informative posts in categories such as: healthy living, parenting, beauty, fashion, green living, frugal living, fitness, pregnancy, TTC and much more.

In plain English, we are set on making Daily Mom the most useful daily website for women and moms. Anything you need or want to know, we’ll cover it. In fact, as we’ve been writing posts, I have been finding myself having to go there and look things up.

  • When our cat Jake disappeared and then was found completely dehydrated, I remembered there was a recipe for homemade pedialyte on Daily Mom.
  • When I decided to clean Lexi’s toys, guess where there was a guide on how to do it?
  • I needed a good organizing app for my IPhone – Daily Mom.
  • I was looking for a snack I could make for Alexis- gummy baked strawberries on Daily Mom.

You won’t find celebrity gossip there, or incessant ads, or irrelevant posts, or empty reads. Yes, those are fun to read but you walk away with nothing. Instead, Daily Mom strives to bring substance into your life, knowledge and tips that will actually help you. And here is the kicker. We aren’t big time editors of magazines or professional writers. We are moms just like you who wanted to share everything cool and useful that we come across daily. We have all the same problems, as you, and all the same needs. We aren’t perfect or know everything. We simply ask ourselves, what would I like to know, what will help make my life better or easier, and then research it and write about it. We are also knowledgeable in our own fields, creating a rounded team of writers. The best thing about Daily Mom is that posts are easy to digest. They are not a mile or 10 pages long, they are short and to the point. Instead of listing 100 ways to do something, we gather the best 10. Instead of overwhelming you with 50 cake recipes, we give you 3 tastiest ones. It’s all real and simple over here. If this isn’t enough to intrigue you, listen to this: Exactly a month after the launch, we will be running a Giveaway Event of the Century: 50 days of Giveaways. One prize a day for 50 days- everything from strollers to diaper bags, to clothing, beauty items and baby supplies – everything and anything a modern woman, a modern mom, would want and need.

A total of over $5000 in prizes.

Make sure you sign up for the notification here to learn when the giveaways start not to miss a single day of prizes. So if the launch is February 28th, why am I writing about this now (besides the fact that I am excited)? Because we’ve figured out a way to give our loyal readers, friends and family, or anyone who will listen a headstart on the giveaways. By signing up right now on the launch page, you will receive a special code before the giveaways start. That code (exclusive to you) will give you 5 FREE entries to ALL the giveaways hosted during our launch event. All you’ll have to do is enter the code when you enter the giveaways and voila, you’re 5 steps closer to winning one of 50 prizes (or more than one, if you’re lucky!)

  1. First let me say YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!! I have been waiting for a website like this!!!! I am so excited to sign up but when I click on the link it keeps bringing me to a blank page?

    Congratulations!!

      • Yes, I was just thinking what Livvy was. I have been following this blog for a long time and hope you are still able to continue posting! I really like the more personal type blogs like this. I usually steer clear of websites that are “team” based just because of how many conflicting opinions I find on there because they leave me just as confused, but I am sure Daily Mom will be different and can’t wait to check it out! 🙂

        • I do hope Daily Mom is different. We are such a collaborative team, like a sisterhood, so i hope that will help us keep the posts there relevant and pleasant to read. Not impersonal but not completely cheesy 🙂
The content here will probably change a bit. It will be more personal, I’ll have more time to write about our experiences.

  2. Hi Elena,

Exciting new venture. Quick question: Does the giveaway include those of us not living in the US?

Love your blog by the way! You are the reason I did baby led weaning with my now 9 month old. He loves watching the videos of Lexi too!

  3. You, lovely lady, are going to be such a blessing to those of us who are not quite yet ready for the mommyhood journey but are maybe starting to think about it…..as in, quite a ways in the future…..but still, thinking/planning has started….. 😉

    xoxo!

  4. I can honestly say that your blog is my the most favourite mommy blog ever! With all the useful info and personal experience that you share and beautiful pictures of Lexi. And now this! I have signed up already. Great idea, can’t wait to check it out!

  5. Oh I am so excited! A lot of the reasons you mentioned for starting Daily Mom are exactly why I have loved reading your blog for the past 18+ months… You present all your research in an easy to read and understand format. Thank you for all your hard work!

    • We will have moms with older kids writing about activities and issues that involve older kids. However, there will be no parenting advice. Parenting is too individual and I believe there are only a few people out there qualified to give parenting advice, not columnists and editors.

  6. So excited about this. Anytime you can go one place and know you will most likely find an answer to a mommy question without trudging through nonsense is a wonderful idea in my book.

I have signed up via email but never received an email back. Is this something I should expect at a later date?

  7. Will the health articles be vetted by nutritionists/experts? I’m so sick of blogs presenting info on things like vitamins where the writer did their own research and aren’t experts. I’ve been looking for a place to get good info I can trust because the author went to school and studied for a decade, not from someone who just read a few books or looked at some website. I hope this is it!!!!

    • No Joanna, unfortunately that’s not the purpose of Daily Mom. If you seek someone with a degree, your best bet is to not consult the Internet. Luckily most of our topics aren’t so extensive and in depth that they require a degree to write about.
Most daily issues moms face can be figured out and helped with just a little research. Everything more complicated should be taken to a professional.

As far as vitamins, it doesn’t take years of schooling to know about vitamins and how they work.

I’m sure you’ll find helpful articles on things other than health on Daily Mom :)))

  8. I can’t sign up using my gmail! I have tried 3 different times on 3 different days and I never got a confirmation email. I just tried again using my work email and I did receive the confirmation email.
Is anyone else with gmail having this problem? Checked my spam folder too! So weird!

  9. Maybe I’m in the minority but I really don’t see this overwhelming need for a site like this that other poster do.
From your description it seems like a glorified google but for moms?

  10. I also havn’t gotten a confirmation email, hopefully it worked! Congrats on this awesome new site, I can’t wait to try it out.
Just a note, I’ve spent the entire day reading through every single one of your previous posts using it to create my baby registry. I have an awesome registry now and your posts took out a ton of the stress of finding non-toxic and educational toys. Thanks!
