I feel like I need to update you guys on what’s going on and why I am sort of MIA.

Alexis’ first birthday was an awesome celebration and I cannot wait to post gazillion pictures of it.

Up until now I have been cleaning up after the party, attending baby friends’ parties, going to Disney for the last non-busy week before September and having a super hard time with a toddler who only wants to walk all through the Disney parks (not sit in a stroller, or carrier or be in my arms). And finally, I drowned my laptop while driving home from Disney (my water bottle spilled all over it, so that the water actually ran out from inside the laptop once I picked it up) so I am stuck working on my work desktop that doesn’t have any of my files or pictures and I am just NOT OK posting without pictures 🙂

So in the meantime, I am pre-writing/formatting some of the drafts I’ve had hanging out for a while there and gearing up for the launch of Daily Mom, because those two are the only things I can do with my dear old laptop while Dell is getting their shit together trying to fix it.

A website with all kinds of useful posts for moms and moms to be. It should be really cool! I’ll write more about it closer to the launch.

Lexi is growing up so quickly! Did you hire a professional photographer to capture her first birthday party? Such a great idea, it must have freed up your time to interact with all the guests! How come you edited the photographer’s picture though? I’m not so skilled at photo editing but I would think that a professional photographer would give you edited photos?

Yes, I did! And it was awesome! Totally last minute decision, because I had just imaged trying to keep everything going AND take pictures…omg!

She is a friend of a friend and she gave me all the photos she took without editing, because I can do that part. Otherwise I’d receive 1/10th of them edited and I’d have to wait long-ish. I am still getting the edited stuff, because she has an amazing style of editing, but I wanted to have all the shots, not just the edited ones.
