There is nothing fun about the 1st trimester. Hang in there, it will feel more real soon and you won’t believe the difference when the nausea goes away. You’re really close!
Thank you! I’m hoping so. I feel like this is how it’s always been and will always be….
I agree – 2nd trimester is much better! Although, there were certain foods I just couldn’t eat my whole pregnancy and even after the baby was born. I think a few of those aversions that develop when you are expecting continue forever just because they trigger the memory of that sick feeling. I couldn’t eat tuna for two years after my son was born!
You know I can totally see that! Even though I think I can now eat certain things since my nausea is a little bit better, I can’t bring myself to do that because I remember!
What a magical time!! I can’t wait to hear the sex of your baby!
Feel better 🙂
Most U/S clinics do not allow video cameras so you might not be able to videotape, as planned
Oh! I wonder if cell cameras would be allowed then.
Awww… you’ve got a cute little bump! 🙂 And it looks like you will have a boy! lol jk I think you will have a boy. 😉
I have a feeling it’s a boy too. Did you know it was a girl before you found out?
I was 98% sure I’m having a boy. 🙂
Jeez if you’re not thin anymore I’d hate to know what I am! ;-P You’re beautiful and tiny! When we found out the sex of our son we were able to bring in a dvd-r and they put the ultrasound itself on it.
Oh come on, you know what I mean. I’m not thin for me 🙂
I was hoping to videotape the whole ultrasound experience- the sounds and everything.
yea i know. i’m just teasing. =)
Since you are very concerned about outside influences and the effects they might have on the baby, you may want to reconsider dopplar and ultrasounds. Look it up. Happy pregnancy!
I did read up on ultrasounds, and while we decided we are going to have only the necessary ones and use Doppler seldomly, the risk is small enough and the benefit is big enough for us personally to take that chance.
Everyone always says that pregnancy is a magical time (morning sickness and all) but like you, I was disappointed to realize I didn’t really enjoy being pregnant until much later in my pregnancy. I was the fittest I’d ever been before getting pregnant (which is probably what helped me conceive) but I blew up quickly – even though I exercised and ate right. My body didn’t feel like it was mine anymore! I loved knowing our baby was in there, but I didn’t really “feel” like a mom until my baby started kicking. Whenever I told people that, they looked at me like I was crazy. But it was just how I felt. Hang in there, it gets better.
